Mel Heng is a veteran journalist and communications professional with a M.Phil. in European Studies (Cambridge, UK) and a B.A. in Mass Communications (NUS, Sing.)

 

A wordsmith by choice, she writes to feel connected, to share the stories she sees developing all around her everyday, to inspire and be inspired, to hone her craft. But most of all, she writes because she enjoys the calm that writing brings.

 

After work and during the weekends, Mel induges in her second true love - cooking (her first Love being her wife and soul-mate). A self-taught home chef, Mel passionately believes that food is meant to be savoured, not eaten. A fussy foodie from the get-go, she sources her spices, produce, and ingregients from near (Canada) and far (Asia) - dreaming up new recipes, tweaking old ones, learning, adapting, experimenting.

 

Mel Heng currently resides in beautiful Canada.
